Public Notice of Job Opening, Office Clerk, City Hall

City of Carlyle announces opening of Office Clerk position at the City Hall.  Shift typically to begin at 8:00 a.m. and to end at 4:30 p.m.  Bargaining unit position.  To be considered, a resume must be submitted to the City of Carlyle, attn: Bill Gruen, 850 Franklin Street, Carlyle, IL  62231 no later than 4:30 p.m. January 25, 2012.  Prior Clerk 2 applicants must resubmit resumes in order to be considered for Office Clerk position.  Successful job applicant must be a Carlyle resident or move to City within one year and sixty days of hire.  Successful job applicant to possess excellent communication and writing skills and be able to multi-task and implement duties and assignments with minimal guidance.  Prior professional experience in office environments desired.  Candidate must possess solid Microsoft Office skills.  Areas of responsibilities to include payroll, accounts payable, maintaining data sets, utility billing, accepting projects and tasks from City Administrator and Office Manager, among other things.  Call 594-2468 for inquiries.  For a full job description, please download document here.

City Council Meetings

Agendas and minutes for City meetings are available upon request and their creation and may be inspected at the Carlyle City Hall, 850 Franklin Street, during regular business hours, 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. City staff may also be able to make alternate arrangements for sending agendas and minutes by mail, fax, or email.

Meetings of the Carlyle City Council are held every second and fourth Mondays of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, Second Floor, City Hall, 850 Franklin Street.

Meetings of City committees are held at the call of each committee's chairperson.
