Governors Run
Governors Run hosts 36 holes of championship golf, a full service Pro Shop and the renowned White Sands Restaurant. The 7,013-yard Championship Course has 13 lakes scattered throughout the par 72 layout. It boasts 5 sets of tees to accommodate all skill levels and exquisitely manicured greens.
The 18 hole lighted Par 3 Course is a short game challenge. You're not going to believe the sixth hole - it features a 142 yard long putt! Governors Run also offers a full practice facility including putting and chipping greens as well as a lighted practice range. Carlyle Lake Golf Club
The 9-hole Carlyle Lake Golf
Club, a public golf course, is located only
1 mile south of Carlyle on State Route 127.
The course features 3,300 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 36.
Two lakes, 2 creeks, and 27 sand traps
make this course a challenge. CLGC
also boats Southern Illinois' fastest
greens. A new 2,100 square foot club
house will be constructed in the Spring of
2009 and will include a bar and a kitchen
serving pizza, hot dogs, and sandwiches.
