The City of Carlyle is the gateway to Illinois' largest in-land lake, Carlyle Lake.  The Lake typically covers 26,000 acres, depending upon its level, and approximately 11,000 acres of public grounds surround it.

Carlyle Lake is fantastic for fishing, hunting, and sailing/boating.  The City of Carlyle offers two hotels, sixteen dine-in and fast-food restaurants, shopping and grocery stores, two golf courses, and more.

We are located just 50 miles east of Downtown St. Louis, so we are easy to reach for a weekend getaway or a longer stay!
