Information on events and happenings for Christmas in Carlyle 2012 follows:
Christmas Lights in the City Park
The City expects to flip the switch for the famous Christmas Lights in the City
Park at dusk on Friday, November 23, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. The Christmas Lights
will stay on in the Park for the entire Christmas Season. Take a drive
through the City Park to view the lights! They are pretty great!
Christmas Parade & Fireworks
The Christmas Parade will be held on Friday, November 30, 2012 beginning at
6:30 p.m. The Parade will begin at 11th and Fairfax Streets, and will
head east until reaching 5th Street, where the Parade will turn north on its way
to the City Park. Anyone interested in participating in the Parade should
call Flowers by Tess at 618-594-3666 to register a spot. After the Parade,
the public is invited to join us at the City Park for the Christmas Fireworks.
Santa Claus will be available for photos, to be taken by Traditions Portrait &
Design. Refreshments will also be available.
Breakfast with Santa
Santa is scheduled to stay in Carlyle through Saturday, December 1, 2012
for Breakfast with Santa to take place at Bretz Wildlife Lodge & Winery.

Bake Sale & Santa Claus at the Firehouse
The Carlyle Junior High and High School bands will host a bake sale at the
Carlyle Firehouse on Saturday, December 1, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. until
2:00 p.m.
Santa will be at the Firehouse too!
Christmas House Tour
December 1, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., more details to follow when available.
Santa at the Santa Hut
Saturday, December 8, 2012 and Saturday, December 15, 2012 from 4:00
p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the City Park.
Dickens Carolers
Sunday, December 9, 2012 at 4:30 p.m. at the Messiah Lutheran
Church Fellowship Hall.
Christmas Cantata
The Christmas Cantata will take place on Sunday, December 16, 2012 at 7:00 p.m.
at the St. Mary's Church.
